Be “THE” Miracle

In the situations that we and those around us face on a daily basis, God is working out all the details. He is working them out toward His intended goal, which is His glory. When things happen in the lives of our loved ones that are beyond our control or are overwhelming to us, we often go to God in prayer, asking Him to work a miracle.

I, too, have prayed this prayer on numerous occasions. I was looking for some huge miracle that God was going to make happen, that would be undeniable to every one that it was God. However, I have learned through my own life’s journey that God often uses us to be the miracle, for “such a time as this”.

Esther 4:14 New Living Translation (NLT) says,
14 If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”

Most of the time, we do not realize that God is using us for this same purpose as He used Esther, “for just such a time as this”. Our strength and resources are often being exhausted to help another person out of the situations that they have placed themselves in. We must recognize that God is using us to first show His unfailing love towards them. “Yes, you messed up! Yes, you did not make the right choices! But, because I (GOD) love you so much, I am sending you a way out.” That way out is, often, you and I, and in our lives, God may use someone else to be the miracle for us.

We cannot find ourselves complaining about what God is asking us to give up to save someone else’s life. Boy, does that become tiresome. And, sometimes we do have to pray and ask God to show us, “Am I being used and abused in this situation or God, are You using me to BE THE MIRACLE in this person’s life?” We must ask God for wisdom in this area and ask Him to guide and order our steps so that His glory will be revealed, and so that change can take place as part of the greater purpose that God has.

Psalm 46:10 New Living Translation (NLT) says,
10 “Be still, and know that I am God!…”

Sometimes we are to be still, and let God be God. This may mean watching things transpire before our very eyes that we would rather not see happen. But then, there are those times when God wants us to move with the resources and gifts that He has blessed us with, so that we may be the miracle for another.

We are under the protective care of God. He has divine foresight in all areas of all of our lives. He miraculously uses us in the lives of others for His glory. In order for this to happen, we must listen for the voice of God and follow and obey. We are to lay down our plans. This goes back to cooperating with God. This cannot be stressed enough.

God has a reason for everything that He does. Nothing is random. We have to trust God in all things. God has a perfect timing for all that He has for us. It’s all about trusting Him. Just as God used Esther to be the miracle for her people, we too must obey God.

Even when we can’t see it or feel it, God’s details are in everything. As we pray, we should follow God’s leading in our movements along the way.

Be willing to take a step of faith.

There is a time to “Be Still” but also other times where God is motioning us to move on His behalf, as His servants and helpers one to another, to BE THE MIRACLE God can use for his glory. Don’t miss that opportunity!
