Will Somebody “Hear” Me

Will somebody, anybody, hear my faintest cry?

Our souls long to be heard. The tears of that deep cry from within is drowning us. We need someone to attend to us and to throw out a life raft to save us in our time of need. We look for others to see our hurt and pain and to hear the inner cry of our heart. We need someone to come to our aid; someone, anyone, to rescue us.

Psalms 94:18-19 (NLT) is a reminder that we need to take our burdens to the Lord. He is the one who hears our every cry and His unfailing love supports us. He soothes our doubts and through His comfort, he gives us a renewed hope.

I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O LORD, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.

According to 1 John 5:14 (NLT), “we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.”

God loves us with an immeasurable type of love. It is unfailing and unwavering. It is like no other that we could possibly find on earth. Nobody, and I mean nobody, can do us like the Lord. We in turn can, according to Psalms 116:1-2 (NLT), “love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!”

We can go to God at any time of day and He will be the one to hear our indistinct call and bring forth a release in every situation that grieves us and causes our souls to ache. He does not get tired of listening. He desires our daily connection with Him. We can be joyful in Him!

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NLT) says, “Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”

If no one else hears your cry for help, God will!

Go to Him. Empty your hearts desires upon the shoulders of His love. His grace and mercy are sufficient to see you through.
