Suddenly, he walked in to the event. He didn’t stay, but he kept his word and received hugs and love from family. More is to come because God is in control.
This was the comment that I posted to my Suddenly post. And the story continues…
If you have the time, please read that post so that you are able to follow along with the move of God and the miracle that He is in the process of performing.
Deliverance is on the Horizon!
For those mothers and fathers out there who have just about had enough, hey, I am right there with you. But how many of you also know and feel within your spirit that Deliverance is on the Horizon? Giving up is not an option, and I don’t know about you, but I believe that God is going to move All at Once and when we blink our eyes, change will be before us.
Springtime is upon us. I am not really an outdoorsy type of person. I prefer the comforts of the air-conditioned surroundings as the sun and heat swelters right outside my window. However, being a home owner means that what’s outside should be beautified, so as I roll up in my driveway, I can quickly turn to my right and glance over at what is pleasing to my sight. Ughhhh! Yard work!
My beloved mother has been telling me for weeks that she has a plan for the front of my yard. Now, I, just being exhausted with maintaining the routine of life, am not really interested in this plan. And yes, she said, “my house”, not hers, so you would think that I would be overjoyed that someone is looking out for the beauty of “mine”, right? Please continue to pray for me. LOL
So, my darling mother came up with this plan that we would meet on my day off from work to accomplish this task. Of course, I have some leisurely plans all set to go, but I said, “Yes mom. Friday, it is!” Now, I’ve been dreading Friday, right. Stop laughing. I believe that I’ve already mentioned that I’m really not the green thumb type of person; if not, “Hey! I’m not the green thumb type of person”. But I was mustering up both my mental and physical strength to complete this task. I know that it will be beautiful upon completion, it’s just the process that’s got me a little hung up. But, my mind is made up and I’m ready for the task.
From a spiritual perspective, it takes a made up mind to do anything that God asks us to do. Like David, we have to encourage ourselves, at times, to move forward and to do what God has directed us to do.
1 Samuel 30:6b New Living Translation (NLT) says,
…But David found strength in the Lord his God.
Some things God will just do for us without much action on our part. Other times, He requires us to take the steps that He has laid out for us to move forward in the process by finding our strength in Him. He loves us, so He will never stir us wrong and the end result will be something beautiful in His sight.
As I commenced to pull into my driveway on yesterday, things looked different. They looked brighter and inviting. Peace was exuding from the view of my home. All at Once, it had been finished. I wasn’t expecting it; but, out of the love of a mother’s heart flowed the beauty of a landscaped walkway. I didn’t have to do anything but show up and there it was.
Sometimes, we just need to show up and let God work it out and show us the beauty that surrounds our lives. It’s in the small things; the unexpected things.
The things that we could do on our own, while struggling to find joy and peace in them, are what we can receive from God’s hands, just because He loves us.
As I pulled up, my son was outside waiting for me. You see, this son of mine that has had a hard time reconnecting with family after his prodigal journey, was smiling because he helped to bring this beauty to life. My amazing mother had reached out again to my son for help and assistance with this project. In the past, he would have never even acknowledged her request, but once again, God moved and allowed him to respond with a “YES” and to follow through. The joy in his face as I carefully maneuvered up my driveway, brought the greatest joy to my heart. He was connecting as only God could have orchestrated.
My mom said that when they saw each other, they embraced, and as she worked around the outskirts of my home, she prayed within, thanking God for his “All at Once” move of deliverance in that one moment and anticipating joy in the “All at Once” moments to come.
They are coming. Deliverance is on the horizon. All at Once, God is turning it around. Prodigal son, be healed! In Jesus’ name!
Psalm 34:17 New Living Translation (NLT) says,
The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help.
He rescues them from all their troubles.
Keep Praying in Your Situation! Keep Believing that God is going to do it, All at Once! I know that I will!
