Pray the Scriptures – My Prayer:
How joyful are those who fear the Lord—all who follow Your ways! I will enjoy the fruit of my labor. How joyful and prosperous I will be!
Lord, fulfill in me what You will have me to do. I want to enjoy the fruit of my labor and be joyful and prosperous in who You have made me to be. The process can appear to drag on, but the pruning is necessary if I am to be fruitful for You, as well as in all areas of my life.
I want to complete the process no matter how long or how demanding the pruning gets.
In Your Word, Jesus said that You, my Father, are the gardener. You cut off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit and You prune the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. Although I sometimes get in the way of what You are trying to accomplish, Lord, don’t permit me to interrupt the pruning process so that I will produce even more, more that will shine a light on who You are and the changes You are making within me.
What I have accomplished thus far to bring glory to Your name is not the end. There is more that You desire of me; more that You want to see flourish from the development of the pruning taking place every day. I want to remain in You, and You will remain in me. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and I cannot be fruitful unless I remain in You.
As I come close to You, my living God, and You come close to me, teach me how to purify my heart, for my loyalty is divided between You and the world. Through the pruning, take away everything that is not meant to be in my heart, my thoughts and my actions. Help me to walk upright and do the things necessary to guard my relationship with You.
I will not interrupt the pruning process, but will allow You to have Your way so that the fruit manifested in my life will be as impeccable as You intend for it to be.
This I pray in Jesus’ Name. Not my will but Your will be done. For Your Glory! Amen.

John 15:1-4 (NLT)
1 “I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. 3 You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. 4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.
James 4:8 (NLT)
8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.
