Lord, when I come to You, tired in my body, exhausted in my thought processing, frazzled in my soul, I know that I come to the God of my salvation who offers complete rest for me.

El Shaddai, God Almighty, I know that I am able to transfer all that I carry, upon Your shoulders, releasing the heaviness that this life attempts to outfit me in each day. From Your well, filled with unconditional love and grace and mercy, I am able to draw all the resources that I need.

As one of the many benefits offered to me, You so graciously maintain an open door policy, through Jesus Christ, which always and without reservation needed, allows me to lay my weight upon Your throne. When I come to You, in my weary condition, carrying these heavy burdens, You provide the accommodations and rest that is essential to me. When I take Your yoke upon me, You teach me, because You are humble and gentle at heart, and I will find rest for my soul. For Your yoke is easy to bear, and the burden You give me is light.

I praise You for Your provision of rest that covers me.

No Matter What

Pray the Scriptures – My Prayer:

No matter what comes along my path, God, I can turn to You and pour out my heart and let You know that I am in need of Your great strength. You are always available and always willing to guide me through. For, You, O Lord, never grow weak or weary. You understand all that I encounter. Nothing is new to You, Elohim, God, Mighty Creator.

You are everlasting God, the source of the strength that I need.

Because I trust in You, Lord, I will find new strength. It’s in my weakness, God, that Your strength is revealed. It becomes clearer to me how I am truly making it through, by Your grace and mercy.

You don’t have to do it, God, but You do, because You have chosen me as Your own.

In the good times, as well as in those times when I am tested or my heart is in distress, You give me renewed strength, day in and day out. You, O Lord, make it so that I can soar in this life high on wings like eagles. I do not have to stay in my low places, for You, lift me up.

I will walk. I will not faint. You are my helper and my shield.

You’ve Been Accepted: Partnership Agreement with Jesus Christ

Being in partnership with Jesus Christ fits all of the pieces of our lives together like that of a puzzle. It does not matter how many scattered parts of your life there are, God has a place for each piece. He connects them together to form a beautiful picture of your life in Christ Jesus. Once we are in agreement with Him, our lives flow more smoothly and in the right direction. We are no longer going against the current. All of our steps proceed according to God’s will and plan for our lives.

What an amazing partnership this is!

1 Corinthians 1:9 (NLT) says,
God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Naming of the Partnership

In an earthly partnership, one of the first things you must do is agree on a name for your partnership. Last names can be used, such as Smith & Wesson, or a fictitious name can be adopted. When we entered into our partnership with Jesus Christ our Lord, we took on His name, His identity; we became God’s child and now are in relationship or partnership with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. All three are one.

I thought about some names that could possibly be used:

• Blessed to be a Blessing
• Jesus Christ Victory Central
• Deliverance HQ (Headquarters)
• No Longer Bound War Room
• Face to Face in the Place
• Heavenly Way the Only Way

These names are interchangeable and can be referred to at any time in reference to the partnership. When you say them, you know that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are present in the board room with you.

No Excuse

Pray the Scriptures – My Prayer:

Lord, in your sovereignty towards me and all of creation, Elohim, God, Mighty Creator, every day is a new day that, without reservation, Almighty God, You grant to me. I am afforded another moment to live my life with You as my wonderful counselor and to continue the development of my intimate walk with my shepherd. I have one more window of opportunity to obey and follow Your commands more closely.

There is no excuse for giving up.

I am reminded that, I still dare to hope, because the faithful love of the Lord never ends! Your mercies never cease. Great is Your faithfulness; Your mercies begin afresh each morning.

When I do not identify the next steps to take, all I have to do is cry out to You, my God, for help. You are readily available to lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.

There is no excuse for not knowing Your purpose and plan for me, when I seek You and connect with You through my daily prayer.

In the Waiting

But God promised!

Have you ever thought or said that to yourself? I’m not just talking about the promises that are easily identified in God’s Word. He spoke to you. He showed you what’s to come. You know it was Him, but yet, nothing! Time is slipping away. Things appear to be escalating. Your stress level is to the max. Nothing seems to be going in the right direction. That promise is still left unfulfilled.

It doesn’t matter how long you’ve had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, if you are a Bible Scholar or just know one passage of scripture, “Jesus wept”, waiting is the absolute hardest of tasks known to mankind. It affects every one on some level. Our human nature struggles with waiting.

Frustrating? That simply is an understatement. It looks as though you are traveling down a long winding road with no light to guide your path and no signs posted indicating which way you are actually headed. Despair unsettles you. The waiting seems purposeless. But, is it?

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) tells us, 
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

It’s all about how we wait on the fulfillment of those promises. Are we really “waiting upon the Lord”? Are we trusting Him and taking His promises to us as truth? If we are, then God’s Word tells us that He will renew our strength. We will be able to run (get through our days), and not be weary. We will be able to walk this path called life and not faint.

You Are Never Alone

Pray the Scriptures – My Prayer:

Lord, You have blessed me to see another day. You, Lord, are the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. Thank you, Elohim, God, Mighty Creator for never growing weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of your understanding. Thank You Lord for when I am weak, you give power to the weak, and when I am powerless in the circumstances of my life, you give strength to the powerless.

I AM NEVER ALONE!

I can rely on and put my total trust in You. Thank You that on this day, in this very moment, You are strengthening me and making a way on my behalf. I don’t have to see it. I just need to believe it, in Jesus’ name. For the cares of this life that come to bring me down are powerless against Your mighty hand.

Lord, I know that I don’t have to be afraid because You are with me. I don’t have to hang on to my discouragement because You are God. In the midst of it all, You strengthen me and help me. You hold me up with your victorious right hand.

THERE IS NOTHING TOO HARD FOR YOU!

It’s In the Breaking

The process of being broken is utilized by God to mold us into the person that He wants us to be. We find in Isaiah 64:8 that He is the potter and we are the clay. It is by His great hand that we are changed into who He desires us to be, for His greater purpose and His glory.

Isaiah 64:8 (NLT) says,
And yet, O Lord, you are our Father.
   We are the clay, and you are the potter.
   We all are formed by your hand.

This process of being formed by the hand of God can often feel brutal. There is so much that we do not understand. We can feel so lost and confused. It can become unsettling and fear will attempt to sneak in to try to cause us to stop trusting in the process and in the God who is working it all together for good.

God, in his loving manner, works to bring about the good that He has for us. He kneads, breaks, caresses, and remolds to get us to the place that He has for us. You see, this Overwhelming Victory that is ours comes about through growth. Growth is often a painful experience, as when a young person is going through growth spurts. Sometimes their bodies ache. They don’t feel like themselves. There can be some pain involved, but it is so that they can continue to grow and mature into who they are destined to be.

God uses the circumstances that he arranges in our lives, His providential will, as well as our own detours off God’s original plan for us, to break us so that we can be rebuilt for His kingdom.

Jeremiah 18:6 (NLT) says,
“O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.

If I am going to continue to grow in the things of God and be able to be that living testimony for Him, then I need to cooperate and let God be God. I need Him to work out in me the things that are necessary to draw me closer to Him.

Let God Surprise You

It is normal to have a few prayer requests up before God. Those desires and wants and needs play in a loop in our minds on a daily basis. Our faith in God is exercised at every turn. With each move of progress that we see, either right in front of us, or on the periphery of life, we are searching and looking for God. God, is that you? God is “this” it? 

I truly believe that my hope and desire is in view. God revealed it to me almost two years ago. Then, He did something that I was not expecting. Y’all, God showed it to me. Then He said…..wait!

Wait? Yes, wait!

I promise you, it was not a definite no, it was a NOT YET. I have struggled since then trying to figure out the “why” behind it. But I was reminded of what God’s Word says in Isaiah.

Isaiah 55:8 New Living Translation (NLT) says,
8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.
    “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.

God, I Trust You

Lord, I am choosing this day to trust you. The promises in Your Word are true. God Your Word says in Isaiah 55:11, “So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

God, this year, you have sent forth your prophetic Word into and about my life. A year of OVERWHELMING VICTORY is mine, if I am willing to position myself for transition, grow in You, and have a “right now” faith, in a “right now” God, for a “right now” miracle. God, I believe it and I receive it.

As Promised…The Importance of the Spirit Filled Life

So, here it is…my panel presentation, as promised. If you are not sure what I am referring to, please read my post entitled Wilderness Experience.

Theme: “The Importance of the Spirit Filled Life”

Topic: “Undertaking the Spirit Filled Life”

There must be a willingness to:

1. Separate from all sin – 2 Corinthians 6:14-17
2. Surrender to his service – Romans 12:1-2
3. Saturate with the Scriptures – Psalm 1:1-2
4. Stand upon his saying – John 7:37-39

There are those special preachers, teachers, missionaries and evangelists of the Gospel who are called to lead a larger group of individuals; then there is this group called “us’s” who God uses in our smaller circles of influence and that is the direction or focus that my topic has taken for this evening. So, I hope that it is beneficial to someone in the room.

My Topic is: Undertaking the Spirit Filled Life.

In order to undertake the Spirit filled life, there must be a willingness to SEPARATE FROM ALL SIN.

2 Corinthians 6:14-17 (NLT) says:

The Temple of the Living God
¹⁴Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? ¹⁵What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? ¹⁶And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said:
“I will live in them
and walk among them.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
¹⁷Therefore, come out from among unbelievers,
and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord.
Don’t touch their filthy things,
and I will welcome you.

When we confess our sins to God and accept Jesus as our personal Savior, we are free and separated from a sinful life. We are not someone who cannot sin, but someone who is no longer a slave to sin. We belong to God. We have chosen to turn from sin and to accept the gift of Salvation that is offered to everyone. True repentance of sin means to turn 180 degrees and not look back. It is a change of heart and we need the Spirit of God to cause that change to occur.
