I’m Nothing Without You

(Intentional Prayer)
Pray the Scriptures: Lord, no matter the successes I accomplish during my time here on earth, I am conscious of the fact that I’m nothing without You. As was when You chose to create me in Your likeness, You continuously provide the air that I need to breathe, and permit the steps that I am to take. In Your tireless love for me, You have given me life with the intention of abundance; for You sent Your Son that I may have life and have it to the full. Lord, I cannot do anything within my own strength. It is not by force (power) nor by strength, but by Your Spirit. Although I cannot accomplish anything in Your name utilizing my own strength; miraculously, by the power of Your Spirit, all things can be so.

I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength.

He Gives Good Gifts

(Intentional Prayer)
Pray the Scriptures: Lord, Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is Yours, O Lord, and this is Your kingdom. I adore You as the one who is over all things. Nothing is outside of Your control, O God, and You know what is best for me. Absolutely nothing happens in my life that You are not privy to. Your desire is that I converse with You and pour my heart into Your lap, as a child seeking reassurance from a loving parent. You have good gifts that You desire to pass along to me […]

Absolutely nothing happens in my life that You are not privy to. Your desire is that I converse with You and pour out my heart, as a child seeking reassurance from a loving parent. You give the gift of your love and compassion towards me.

You have more good gifts that You desire to pass along to me.

As I follow You, Yahweh Roi, the Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything that I need. When my emotions attempt to get the best of me and they fluctuate over the array of possibilities, Your rod and staff they protect and comfort me. I have been given the gift of coming to You in prayer, bringing my heart and placing all of my cares at Your throne of grace.

When I attempt to trust in my own strength, You tenderly remind me that it is You who renews my strength. Because You love me, You guide me along right paths. I only need to place my confidence in You.

I will not allow anyone to mislead me. I will not forget that You, Yahweh Roi, make happen the good that I experience each day; from opening my eyes at morning’s break, to each breath that I proceed to take. Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to me from You, my Father, Elohim, God, Mighty Creator, who created all the lights in the heavens. You never change.

I am your prized possession, Your child, chosen by You.

Your dear Son promised that If I remain in Him and His Words remain in me, I may ask for anything I want, and it will be granted.

Oh, what a phenomenal gift!

What He’s Done For Me

(Intentional Prayer)
Pray the Scriptures: Lord, as I draw closer to You and feel Your presence in all that I do, I choose this day to realize how Blessed I am. I will never forget Your grace and mercy that is showered over my life. Like rain drops that pour from the heavens, so Your love is provided to me as nourishment for my soul. The breathtaking beauty and growth that manifests from nothing that I could ever do on my own is absolutely amazing. As I reflect on how Blessed I am, the tear that trickles down my cheek, is but a minor display of my gratitude towards You. Oh, how You love me! You gave Your One and Only Son, so that not only I, but everyone who believes in You will not perish but have eternal life. Irrespective of all my missteps and points of disobedience, You did not send Him to judge me, but to provide salvation for my soul.

Your sovereignty and plan that I may prosper and have hope in You, brought into existence a way to save me and call me to live a holy life, not because I deserved it, but because that was Your plan from before the beginning of time.

Your evidence of grace through Christ Jesus is why I am Blessed.

Ponder This

(Intentional Prayer)
Pray the Scriptures: Lord, I have come to realize that obedience is the gateway to my Overwhelming Victory. As I obey You, do Your will, and follow the steps of growth in You, even when the course of my day may not always go as planned, You are seeing about me. Everything that comes to hinder my progress in You must answer to the God of my Salvation. Even when my own thoughts try to turn against me, I can pray to You, O Lord, that every proud obstacle that keeps me from knowing You, O God, is destroyed, in Jesus’ name. For my rebellious thoughts can be captured and they can be taught to obey Christ. How amazing are Your deeds! […]

When I delight in You Lord and mature in my walk with Christ, any negative thoughts that come to cause me to look back, I will replace them with thoughts of ALL the good deeds you have already fulfilled.

I shall ponder Your deeds!

Your glory and majesty is revealed in all that You do. Because of Your grace and mercy, you cause me to remember Your wonderful works in my life.

I never have to doubt Your love for me. You made me who I am; therefore, I am built to be used by You. Thank you, Elohim, God, Mighty Creator, for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous and I am enough.

I am more than enough because I have the God who is enough. I won’t look back. I will finish the process.

Lord, thank You for Your plan of redemption. It is because of Your presence and protective covering over my life that I have hope in a future with You. Thank You for the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. That sacrifice has given me a new life in You. For Your Word says that this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. However, anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

Death is no longer on my list of fears because I will be at peace with You in heavenly places. Because I do the will of God, I will live forever.

Will you? God’s Way?

Lord, I celebrate Your goodness and I come to You to acquire a knowledge of the way You have for me. Let me know Your ways so I may understand You more fully and continue to enjoy Your favor.

In Your infinite wisdom, You, Yahweh Yireh, The Lord will Provide, have made available help, support, advice, guidance, assistance, and the information that I need to live a righteous and sanctified life. I, nor all those who take the necessary time to seek after You, have to look any further than to Your Word that You so graciously have laid out for me.

Chosen to Bear Fruit

John 15:16 The Message Bible says,
“You didn’t choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won’t spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, he gives you.”

Jesus, in wanting to encourage His disciples, expressed how He chose them. He appointed them to go and produce lasting fruit. They were to be His disciples, spreading the gospel to all who would hear; and in doing so, the Father would give them whatever they asked for, in Jesus name. They were to pray unto the Father using the name of Jesus.

The Life Application Study Bible says, “Jesus made the first choice—to love and to die for us, to invite us to live with him forever. We make the next choice—to accept or reject his offer. Without his choice, we would have no choice to make.”

We were chosen, not because of anything that we did, but because Jesus loved us. God sent His beloved son, who chose to sacrifice His life for our life, so that we, too, could be appointed to go and produce lasting fruit. We have the privilege of praying to God in the name of Jesus and receiving whatever we ask in the will of God.

Lord, let Your will be done!

Because of Jesus’ choice, we were given a choice to accept this gift of salvation and to share it with others.

As I lay here tonight, trying my best to fall asleep on the eve of yet another Mother’s Day, my mind and heart turns to another view of being chosen.

For those mother’s out there who may stumble across this expression of faith, no matter the circumstances that surround how you or I became a parent, I believe and trust that God chose us and paired us with the specific children that we were meant to disciple and produce lasting fruit, within our assignment of motherhood. That child that sometimes gives us such a hard time or has turned their back on God and the teachings that we placed within them, God knew that the special anointing He has placed over our individual lives would be the key to our sons and daughters choosing Him as the Lord of their lives.

Although sin entered the world and Satan attempted to steal what You have for me, Your purpose is being fulfilled in my life and the glory that You will reveal to me later will have made it all worth while.

In the Darkness

“God, I just don’t understand!“ Have you ever uttered those words. It seems like darkness is all around you, like God isn’t really hearing your specific prayers. John 13:7 (NLT) says, Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.”

“God, I just don’t understand!

Have you ever uttered those words. It seems like darkness is all around you, like God isn’t really hearing your specific prayers.

John 13:7 (NLT) says,
Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.”

God does things His own way and we just have to trust that He knows best. It’s as simple as that. That financial struggle that you are in, those wayward children, those stresses on the job can seem as if it is too much to bear. You try to move forward with hopeful anticipation in what God is doing and is going to do, but anxiety seems to rise up again at every turn.

“God, it seems like things are getting worse, yet I know that you are moving!”

God tends to only show us one step at a time. During these times, we must hold on to our faith and know that God is in control. Things may appear out of sync and out of place, but God knows what He is doing. He has an order to the steps that He is taking in our lives.

Hebrews 11:1 (NLT) says,
Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.

We must allow our faith to show the reality of what we hope for, when we cannot see it.

While we wait, we can worship the Lord, and in so doing, we can forget about all of our troubles and rest in Him. We can rest knowing that He’s got a plan and a way that He is choosing to bring about our deliverance. We have to trust in His ways, even when it doesn’t seem to make sense to us. We must choose to see with eyes of Faith.

Don’t Give Up, Believe

The thought, “Don’t Give Up, Believe” has really been in my spirit for the last several days. It seems, at times, that we are flooded with the cares of this life and so much is coming at us at one time. We can start to drag and the thought of giving up may enter our hearts and minds.

At my desk at work, I have several flip calendars with Scriptures and words of inspiration on them. Today’s word from the “God’s Got It” Tony Evans Inspirational Dayspring Daybrightener says, “When Satan attempts to overwhelm you, remind him that you overwhelmingly conquer through Jesus Christ.” That really lifted me up today and solidified that giving up is never an option. Though this thought may cross our minds from time-to-time, we must push forward and persevere to receive the promises of God.

Hebrews 10:36 New Living Translation (NLT) says,
Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

After all that you have endured on this journey, don’t you want to follow through with patient endurance, doing the will of God, so that you will receive ALL that he has promised?

I know that I do. Too much time has passed, too many resources have been invested, too many steps forward have been taken to turn back now. I will not give Satan that satisfaction. I am more than a conqueror and I will have OVERWHELMING VICTORY!

Filter Life through God’s Promises

Pray the Scriptures – My Prayer:

There are times when I become fearful, but Your Word says in Judges 6:12, “The Lord is with you…” Lord, I know that you will never leave me nor forsake me. You are always right here with me, giving me strength to press forward and hope for a brighter future. I know that according to John 16:33, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” So, God, I know that I am safe with You and I can put my total trust in You because You are in control.

So, here it is…my panel presentation, as promised. If you are not sure what I am referring to, please read my post entitled Wilderness Experience.

Theme: “The Importance of the Spirit Filled Life”

Topic: “Undertaking the Spirit Filled Life”

There must be a willingness to:

  1. Separate from all sin – 2 Corinthians 6:14-17
  2. Surrender to his service – Romans 12:1-2
  3. Saturate with the Scriptures – Psalm 1:1-2
  4. Stand upon his saying – John 7:37-39

There are those special preachers, teachers, missionaries and evangelists of the Gospel who are called to lead a larger group of individuals; then there is this group called “us’s” who God uses in our smaller circles of influence and that is the direction or focus that my topic has taken for this evening. So, I hope that it is beneficial to someone in the room.

My Topic is: Undertaking the Spirit Filled Life.

In order to undertake the Spirit filled life, there must be a willingness to SEPARATE FROM ALL SIN.

2 Corinthians 6:14-17 (NLT) says:

The Temple of the Living God
14Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? 15What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? 16And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said:
“I will live in them
and walk among them.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
17Therefore, come out from among unbelievers,
and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord.
Don’t touch their filthy things,
and I will welcome you.

When we confess our sins to God and accept Jesus as our personal Savior, we are free and separated from a sinful life. We are not someone who cannot sin, but someone who is no longer a slave to sin. We belong to God. We have chosen to turn from sin and to accept the gift of Salvation that is offered to everyone. True repentance of sin means to turn 180 degrees and not look back. It is a change of heart and we need the Spirit of God to cause that change to occur. Continue reading “As Promised…The Importance of the Spirit Filled Life”
